Onaqui Woodland Mechanical Treatments

Chainsaw
The Bureau of Land Management Salt Lake Field Office implemented the chainsaw treatment on the 50-acre core plot in October 2006. All trees larger than .5m were cut and left where they fell.  Limbs were not severed from the trunk after being cut.

Tree Mastication
The Bull Hog™ treatment was implemented at the Onaqui woodland site in early November 2006. All trees within the 50-acre plot were mulched and the mulch was left where it fell.
