Great Basin Vegetation
Sagebrush, juniper and a variety of native forbs and bunchgrasses characterize the vegetation of the Great Basin. In recent years, non-native cheatgrass has also spread across the Great Basin, influencing the fire regime and competing with native species for limited water and nutrients.
