Wildlife
Sagebrush steppe ecosystems serve as habitat for a variety of wildlife species. The photos here show only a small piece of this diversity of wildlife, but are representative of some commonly viewed species and the species being researched by SageSTEP scientists. The wild horses and domestic cattle commonly seen in the Great Basin may not be widely considered as "wildlife"; however, they are important members of the ecosystem and for this reason they are included here.
